SMA's digital seed sensor is designed with 4 LEDs and 4 photoreceptors to ensure a homogeneous light curtain, thus avoiding blind spots. A microcontroller monitors the photoreceptor signal pattern to distinguish double and triple seeds, which results in a higher accuracy in seed count.
To ensure a long and trouble-free life, each sensor uses only the highest quality material and is indivually tested to a 99.6% 'random test' count accuracy.
Sensor is compatible with most planters, seeders, and OEM monitors.
